The Valve Radio Adapter

This small, battery-powered unit will enable you to listen to your iPod / MP3 / CD / DAB Radio player through your existing valve radio.

As long as your Valve radio has PU or Gram inputs and the chassis is earthed, connection and operation is easy using the leads supplied.

"Delighted with it, a fabulous piece of kit. What a sound! Already recommended it to a friend, Ray, at the Radio Workshop"

(Mr T.D., Hampshire)

"I am very impressed indeed with the VRA . Such a neat little device that simply does "what it says on the tin" as they say! I like the little LED fitted within the radio logo.........nice touch."

(Mr N.T., Cheshire)

For the technically minded, the VRA increases the volume by approx. 10dB and increases bass boost/gain by approx. 20dB. It improves the "bottom-end" sound which is missing from a normal radio output, resulting in a nice "warm" sound. There is also an overload limiter in the form of the gain knob and indicator which turns from green to red if the system is overloading, thus avoiding damaging your radio.

It matches the low output impedance of the headphone socket correctly to the high input impedance of the radio
It provides correct level of amplification to drive the final stages typically > 13dB.

and it provides a variable 'Bass Boost' to help compensate for poor speakers, electronics or recordings.

Available in Black or Cream, the VRA comes complete with 9V battery, leads and instruction booklet.
